Our seaport transfers include the following but are not exclusive of:

Bristol Avonmouth
Bristol Avonmouth Dock’s cruise terminal is six miles from Bristol and not far from the M5 It is not purpose-built and the facilities are rudimentary and is very handy for those living in the East Midlands with Bristol airport 13 miles away. Cruise & Maritime Voyages has virtually made this port their own, with its ships Azores and Marco Polo making regular departures, but it is also another Fred Olsen Cruise Line outpost.

Dover
There is something special about seeing the white cliffs of Dover, whether departing or leaving the cruise terminal, although the town itself is not the most picturesque. That said, it’s an easy drive down the A20 over the hill into town and straight into the cruise terminal car park. Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic has cruises departing from Dover in 2015, and it is the permanent home port for Saga Cruises’ ships Saga Sapphire and Saga Pearl II. Fred Olsen Cruise Line has regular departures from Dover and there are occasional departures by Princess Cruises ships, Crystal Cruises, Windstar Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Harwich
An 1886 Act of Parliament safeguards Harwich as the best natural haven in eastern England, and its deep-water harbour means some of the biggest ships at sea can dock here. You can drive straight into the port’s secure car park from the A120, off the A12. Local firm Fred Olsen Cruise Line, based in Ipswich, has departures from Harwich, and Voyages of
Discovery’s has a few. You will also find Holland America Line’s Ms Ryndam and Royal Caribbean International’s Brilliance of the Seas striking out regularly.

Liverpool
The Cruise Terminal in Liverpool is just a few steps away from the magnificent Cunard Building, one of Liverpool’s world-famous Three Graces. It makes Liverpool one of the few ports in the world where cruise ships can dock right in the city, in this case within easy walking distance of the cafes, restaurants, bars and museums in the restored Albert Dock. Fred Olsen Cruise Line and Cruise & Maritime Voyages have several departures from Liverpool, but when plans to build a larger and permanent terminal are approved the port is expected to be able to deal with bigger ships.

Newcastle (Port of Tyne)
More a round-Britain cruise destination than departure point, but Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has a regular presence and there are a couple of departures by Cruise & Maritime Voyages. It’s a shame there aren’t more, because the terminal is easy to get to from the A1 and Newcastle airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Southampton
With four terminals, this is Britain’s most important cruise port. There is virtually no limit to where you can sail to. North Europe and the Arctic; The Mediterranean, North and South America, the Caribbean, Middle East and even further to Asia and Australasia. It is only five miles from Southampton airport with easy motorway access from the M27 off the M25. Among the ships based here are Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary; Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess, launched by the Duchess of Cambridge; and Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas.

Tilbury
Set on the River Thames, the Port of Tilbury cruise terminal is a Grade II listed 1930s building where the Empire Windrush arrived from Jamaica in 1948 bringing ex-servicemen to settle in Britain. It is gradually being restored, and at only seven miles from the M25 in Essex (Junction 30). Fred Olsen Cruise Line has departures from Tilbury for Norway, Northern Europe, Greenland and the Arctic, the Canaries and round-UK cruises. Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ four ships all sail from Tilbury at times, and it is the home port for its Marco Polo cruise ship.
